BRIEF:
Build a one-page website for Kiln & Co, a pottery studio at 9 Mill Yard teaching wheel-throwing to adult beginners. This month: four Thursday classes at 19:00 — Wheel basics (2 spots left), Centering & cylinders (5), Bowls that don't wobble (4), Glazing night (8). Classes are 8 people; $240 for six classes, the card is valid for two months; clay, aprons and firing included. Show what people make in weeks 1, 3 and 6, plus a short FAQ. Goal: book a class. One self-contained index.html, Google Fonts allowed, no frameworks.

DESIGN PLAN:
# Design plan — Kiln & Co (frontend-design skill, pass 1 + critique)

**Subject:** a small pottery studio teaching wheel-throwing to adult beginners. **Audience:** people who want to do something
with their hands after work. **Single job:** book a spot in a class.
**The subject's world:** glaze test tiles with cone numbers, drips, the wheel, clay-stained aprons, kiln shelves, punch cards.

[ THIS MONTH'S CLASSES = a shelf of glaze test tiles, each tile = one class: ]
[  [cobalt drip | Thu 19:00 | Wheel basics | cone 6 | 3 spots]  [clay drip ...]     ]
[ WHAT YOU'LL MAKE: 3 pot silhouettes in the glazes, week 1 / week 3 / week 6       ]
[ PUNCH CARD pricing (6 holes) + FAQ in plain words ]
```
**Signature:** the class schedule is a row of glaze test tiles with real drip shapes and cone numbers.
## Critique of pass 1 → revisions
- Pass 1 was cream background + serif display + terracotta accent → exactly the "warm cream / serif / terracotta" default.
  **Changed** background to celadon mist, display to Syne, and made cobalt the action colour; clay is one glaze among four.
- Pass 1 had an Instagram-style photo grid → no real photos in the brief, and it is template. **Replaced** by the pot progression.
- Pricing was three tier cards → **replaced** by a single punch card, which is how studios actually sell classes.
Introduce a studio through its classes
Kiln & Co is a pottery studio website starting point for ceramics teachers, independent workshops and creative spaces offering beginner sessions. It focuses on helping a visitor choose a class and understand the experience. If your main business is selling finished pieces, you will need a different content balance and a separately implemented store. Here, the class schedule and the learning journey lead the page.
Make the craft visible in the structure
A pottery-wheel reference introduces the studio, while glaze-test tiles organize the example class schedule. The progression section shows where descriptions of early experiments and later projects can go. Punch-card pricing gives course options a visual connection to the studio, and the beginner FAQ offers space to answer practical questions before someone books. Replace sample availability, firing times, prices and project descriptions with your actual arrangements. Use your own photographs and permissions when adapting the page for a real studio.
Use Claude to make it your own
Download the folder and follow START_HERE.md. Give Claude a concise studio brief: who the classes are for, what techniques you teach, where sessions take place and how people book. Ask it to read plan.md, then adapt index.html while keeping the information hierarchy clear. Review the schedule on a narrow screen and check that class names, dates and prices remain readable. Test enquiry and reservation controls against your real workflow; the visual example does not establish a functioning booking system.
Keep the source and the reasoning together
Alongside the HTML example, the download includes the design plan and prompts used to shape it. That gives you a way to request specific changes with Claude, rather than relying only on a marketplace screenshot or a builder's editing controls. The files are a starting point for your own review, not a hosted website or a maintenance service. Watch the scrolling desktop and mobile previews to assess the direction, then open the interactive HTML locally from the ZIP. Read the included license and check all business details before publishing your adaptation.
